Yo can buy a wireless repeater, or if you have a cordless phone near the router, check to see if the phone is running on a 2.4Ghz frequency. If so, move the phone. Most wireless routers run on a 2.4Ghz frequency.

When u have a computer network, a Wireless Access Point (WAP) or Access Point (AP) is a device that you use to connect wireless communication devices together forming a wireless network.....WAPs are connected to the wired network, and then relay the data back and forth between the wireless devices and wired devices....when u have many WAPs they link together to form a larger network that allows you to be special and have "roaming" which means that you have a network where client devices manages itself, elimination the need for access points, but then your getting into a different type of networking talk here which are calld "ad-hoc network"....hope you understand now what are access points if u dont then ask me and i will tell you....also what d-link router do u have? G? N? AG?....is it one with range booster?
