how to build a web site?
Hey Just would like some help to make a web site. I know the basic html i took a class at school and we build a web site but it was a bit back in the day and i dont remember much of it. my web site I just want it to be simple, and easy to roam and read. the web site will just be for people to veiw. Any help would be great.
Oh and a quick little question how do you take a picture and take the back round from it? is their a good program that make it easy to do?

Phillet, try using macromedia dreamweaver for your website building. There are many tutorials online and most web developers are fairly familiar with that program.
As for taking the background out of pictures. I believe most people use Photoshop and work the background out of the image. Not really that hard, just takes time to make it look right.

Iv started to do it all just in notepad remembering how to use html as i go. Its going to take a good long time to get a web site going thats good
One more thing where can i get a free copy of it and not the 30 day trial one

html format is for the olden days! They just teach you that understand the language and how the coding is presented. New website developing programs such as the one 2tone mentioned do all the html for you in a more user friendly interface for options such as links, import pictures/videos, and general graphical navigation and overall to make a user friendly website with some interesting touches. If you can play around with those programs for a while you can get use to it and make a half decent website.

Its best to know and use HTML cuz WYSIWYG editors add in all sorts of junk code that is not cross platform steady/friendly. Plus you usually need to go back and clean up the code.
