This is gonna be a tight, good old fashioned console war
I think PS3 lost this one... The PS3 has a 3GHz core CPU, however the XBOX 360 has 3 3.2GHz cores = 9.6GHz!!!

ps3 has it lost! no way man ps3 is gonna kill the xbox.... who cares about the 9 something ghz... the ps3 had the NVIDIA RSX this thing is powefull then 2 6800 ULTRA's combined together. And the ps3 is going to have the new blu-ray discs... still both have some kick *** hardcore compents but overall i think the ps3 is going to output the better grapics. but still the only thing i hate are the ps3's controllers

The Xbox 360 can have 10 X 3.2ghz processors.. that means nothing. Its all about the chip. Its like comparing a 3.2ghz AMD vs. a 3.2 ghz Celeron.. The AMD would be alot faster. The PS3 has a CELL processor wich will probably clobber the Xbox's 3X 3.2ghz G5 chips. They probably had nothing to compete with the cell so they tried to make up for it by throwing some more ghz into it.

Not to burst your bubble here, but its still a single CPU at 3.2ghz. That is one cpu with 3 cores in it. Its just away to speed up the timing of the chips. What you are seeing is just a marketing gimck to get users to buy the new Xbox. Xbox has been losing 1.2 billion dollars US a year since 2001. you can read it here http://www.digitaljournal.com/print.htm?id=4275

Aren't both concolse using similair cell tech in their processors, as far as I can see and from the actual game play footage these two consoles appear to be quite the same. It will come down to who has the better game lineup and marketing behind them. I believe that the asian market will boost the PS3 sales above that of the Xbox360, but I will be getting both, which one first depends upon who releases the best racing game first (all I use the ps2 for, no need for an xbox yet, love it but I prefer GT4, want to try Forza).

haha exactly the xbox has 3 cores in it just to speed up processing but who cares when your not going to have a better graphics chip. i mean in my pc i have 2 6800 Ultra and dam man that makes some nice *** graphics and then to hear that the new RSX will be powerfull then both of these combied is just crazy... the ps3 will have kick *** graphics! and the game previews at E3 are just crazy for the ps3.

I prefer what I have seen for gotham 3, but like you said. I'm not that into computers any longer, especially with cars, a sex life and all (my bad, I couldn't help it) but the processing of all graphics information will be done by the graphics processor as far as I know, and they seem to be very similair from what i've heard. Heck they are both great, but it depends on what you want. PS3 will have more Japanese titles perhaps and that is great, while Xbox360 will probally have more north american style gaming, which is also great. I just want my GT5 (GT Vision), Gotham 3 and Forza 2 (oh and Need For Speed).
Ugh nerd talk, I feel unclean, need to get some motor oil on my hands and a girl on my couch, lol
