Wii and Xbox 360 Games
So I just picked up my Wii and Xbox 360 yesterday and now I need some good games. I've already purchased a couple but I need some help getting more.
For the Wii I'm really just looking for games that are fun for groups. Something we can play when we have friends and family over.
For the XBox 360 I would like more real games. I enjoy shooting and racing games the most.
I guess I should tell my XBox story.
So I went to Circut City to buy the 42" LCD TV, XBox 360 Pro, and the Wii. They didn't have the 360 Pro but another one about 40 mins away did. The guy told me if I paid for it at that store and went to pick it up myself he would take $60 off the price. So needless to say I jumped on that. At this time I'm pretty happy, I go to the other store and pick it up and bring it home. Later that night I open it up for the first time and notice it doesn't have the HDMI connector like it was suppose to, it's just the componant connections. Well I bought a 1080p TV for a reason and that's the whole reason I didn't buy the one at the other store. So I call the store and it's all automated and it tells me to call some 800 number. I do that and it gives me no help at all, I go online and find another 800 number so I give that one a call. I get some guy that doesn't speak english but through the broken english I hear him say he's going to transfer me to the store. Fine, whatever. He does the transfer and all I get is a busy signal. By this time I'm starting to get pissed, at first I was just frustrated but now I'm pissed. So I call the store again myself and hit 0 at ever menu until it finally gives me someone in the store. I tell my story again and the girl on the other end says she's not sure if they have any in stock and that she's going to transfer me to the games section which she does. The phone rings over 20 times and no one picks up, I call back several times and get the same thing. Now I'm extremely pissed off. I call back once more telling myself if they don't fix this now I'm going to contact the BBB. I call and say I want to talk to the manager and finally this time the person on the other phone listens and get's me the manager. Lucky for me this ends up being a really nice guy, he says he will have the correct one shipped to me the same day(it's 5:00pm already here but he's going to personally send someone to my house to drop it off). He goes on to say that he'll give me $80 back for all the trouble that I've been put through. I jump on this and ask if I can apply that to the Elite and he says ok. I drive up there and he does the exchange and he even lets me exchange my white wireless controller for a black elite one. All he charges me for exchanging my Pro and new controller combine is $14. Needless so same while the whole process sucked I am stoked! I got an Xbox Elite for less than $300 spent by me.
Cliff notes: I was given the wrong XBox, C. City's phone help lines sucked, I was given an Elite for $50 less than what the Pro costs.
Sorry for the long story but please give me ideas for some good games.

nice story chad. I know some of the Pros still arent coming with HDMI, thats a recent switchover I believe.
For games, yes rainbow six is really fun. Ive only played multiplayer with my friend a few times, and its a kickass game. Forza 2, Condemned (I think is a sweet creative addicting game), Gears of War definitly, Bioshock is supposed to be pretty good, Crackdown looks like a good one, then theres the halo games and Im not even that into bikes, but MotoGP 06 is a fun game I thought, and its only $20 I think. Those are really the only ones Ive looked at and liked.
For the Wii, I like Wii Play, and Mario Party 8. Havent played Wario Ware but I heard its a very quick game. Im all about the mini games games.. and Zelda is a good 1 player game, the only one for the wii Ive really enjoyed. The rest I would just get off the virtual console, theres lots of fun games on there.

I understand that some might not but the whole thing started with me telling the guy I wanted to make sure to get one with it but I didn't want to pay the extra $100 for the elite(now I'm really happy I didn't).
I almost bought Grears of War today too. Maybe I'll pick it up tomorrow now.
I agree about the Wii, I'm all about the mini games that are fun. I bought the Wii for just two reasons. One my wife really wanted one and two so when we have friends and family over we can play it together and have a lot of fun. In fact I'm having my parents over Friday night to have a game night, best part for me is that they're bringing the pizza so I don't have to buy any.
Do you know of any other fun Wii mini games? What about the Madden football game? That looks like it would be really fun to play with a bunch of people.

Ive never played it but people told me the controls arent the greatest. Id say get mario party 8, I really enjoyed playing that with my cousin, Ive never been dissapointed with a mario party game. Wii Play is like Wii Sports but with actuall games. Wario Ware is the only other one Ive heard of. The rest, Id get like Mario Kart 64, and a couple others on the virtual console. I havent heard about many others I can think of.

Chad- just pay for the Live account for X-box. I didn't think it was worth it, but it was well worth it. I will be the first to recommend Halo- playing online is awesome- every game is different and you play with different people. I met a lot of people online and can usually meet up and play together.
Just about any Tom Clancy game should be fun, but I'm biased towards FPS games-

Rainbow 6 Vegas kicks ***, I hated the other Rainbow 6 games but this one is amazing. Bioshock is pretty good, the graphics are really good and it has a good story. If you like new style RPGs I recommend Oblivion, if you want a game you can play for a long time that's one of them.

Yea Rainbow six is great.
I picked up a game for 15 bucks called "condemed, criminal origions"
If you like suspense, lots of action, and a cool story line, then pick it up because in my opinion its worth the money.
At the end its kinda cool because of the alternate ending. when you catch the killer you can either shoot him or spare his life... *crap I just gave the ending away lol*
