Why do you guys waste your time with import?

Why do you guys waste your time with import?
Time and time again, I'm at the track, These guys in these imports, modify a car that is only gone to break when at the track. How is that fun?
Breakin a half shaft and spilling trany fluid everywhere. Then everyone at the track has to wait for clean up before they can go down the track.
Take my advice race a ford, chevy or a dodge. Go all day, have fun, and best of all watch how much faster you will go.

he made this in response to that Turban guy thread. Listen you *** to each his own and if your that stupid to think only a ford, chevy or dodge are fast on tracks your FU**D. There is no way a Ford Mustang would out lap a TYPE R around a track, stock for stock with similar drivers.

I remember in nov 2007 went to the states to compete in imports vs domestic, at MIR. First I thought what a waste of time, then I found out they are giving imports all kinds of weight breaks allow them to use slicks and any power adders. I thought ok this will make it better. We raced in a class called pro street, the only import contender was a supra, with about 250,000 into it, and a rig and trailer worth atleast 500,000.
this poor rich kid lined up his car 2 times the whole weekend, and blew out his diff both times, needless to say he spilt oil everywhere.
We came with a open car trailer a pick up truck and a car with about 30,000 into it, and made it to semi finals and ran faster then the 250,000 supra.
All I'm saying is you guys can make all the power you want, you need stronger driveline.
If that kid wouldn't be so closed minded he would have put a 9" in the car and ran hard all weekend.

lol we all know a supra needs about 25 grand to hit 13's. its sad but true. over priced everything on those cars. its like modding a bmw. hey im gonna go spend 900 bucks on an air intake. youknow, some pipe and a filter. awsome. the only thing i disagree with is the dodge part. unless your racing an old dodge i wouldnt wanna see it at the track. itll puke alongside all the imports.
for the guy comparing the type r to the mustang, compare the type r to a vette. thats what i thought.

Why would we compare a Type R which has only 190hp to a friggin 80 grand + car? If you're gonna do that compare the NSX to the Corvette but WHY THE F**K would a Type R and corvette be in the same category? you sir must have had a bowl of stupidity for breakfast or something.
I relaize the mustang and type r are in diffeernt classes but it's much closer than a type r vrs. a corvette like some other guy said to compare.

You know its not about comparing cars, Its about building a car that won't keep breaking at the drag strip. I have a mustang with ford based 351 motor, but my transmission in based from the GM's powerglide, its a 2 speed. there are many guys with this combo, and there are GM guys with ford 9" in there cars. We know what parts are better and more realiable.
Wow you never seen the car I have, this car was to run 7.90 at the track. but never made a pass due to the mickey mouse diff on it.
You tell me how much it would cost to build a supra to run 7.90s your probable still in the 15's Whos the Idiot now

titan motorsports supra
Titan Motorsports' Toyota Supra breaks into the 8s in this Drag Racing Video
2 rotor rx7 6. something
YouTube - Worlds Fastest 2 rotor Mazda Sporty RX7
20b rx7 7s
YouTube - 6.8 sec Rotary 20B Puerto Rico
manual sti 9.5
YouTube - Fastest Manual WRX STI in the World
ams evo 8.5 and i think an eclipse runs 8.4
YouTube - AMS Evo runs 8.56 New Record!
there are fast imports around that are built properly, dont judge them all on a rich kid with a $250k supra ahah and if you want to compare track racing the nsx is not the car to go up against a vette, should look at the new r35 vs a c6 z06 vette, zr1's price is way out of the r35's, the new stock 4 dr civic type r would probably waste a stock mustang on a track, not drag racing obviously
