White boxes painted on the highway to catch you speeding
So this chick told me that she saw on the news that Toronto (or Ontario) has painted some white boxes on the sides of the 400 series freeways every 500 meters, they are used by cessna's flying overhead to determine the speed of vehicles. They are not visible from ground level and apparently are painted somewhere way off to the side. If sky observation catches you speeding - they radio a police car below to tag you.
Thats all I know
ANyone hear anything like this?

I wouldn't be surprised this is happening, York region has been doing this for quite some time now. Take a look next time the stretch of roadon highway #7 between bathurst through to centre street (either east or west). The York region helicopter uses time/distance math to figure out how fast your travelling between markers.

Here's a wild and crazy thought. How about we have stricter licensing laws and it'll prevent a lot of these idiots (that cause traffic and create a need to drive faster e.g. cell phone, driving 30 below because they can barely see over the steering wheel) from actually driving a vehicle in the first place?
Gotta love these half-assed ideas that these high school drop outs we call our "government" come up with.
