Well, here go the gas prices again.

They're saying $1.50 by summer. But, I don't care. I'm gettin 40+ mpg. If it gets too bad, I'll buy a new TDI Jetta.

#1. There are around 25 TDI's for sale in KW right now.
#2. I wouldn't put myself on a waiting list for a car. There's another 10 on Vortex for sale. If I can't find a TDI, I'll pick up a diesel rabbit, or MK2, or whatever. That's if the gas gets there.

If you can't afford gas over $1 per litre get a better career. Unless your driving hours on end everyday or commuteing from huntsville to toronto without the 400 series it shouldent me a problem. If you doing all highway driving buy a V8. Even better get a impala or a truck with propane converstion. 49.9 cents a litre for the propane.

I can afford over $1 a liter. But, I'm saying if it gets lets say $2, I'm going to be looking for a diesel. As for propane, lmao. That'll be a cold day in hell. All our work trucks USED to be propane small block chevs, and now, ALL Diesel, and mostly newer GMC W5500. 4.5l 4 cyl turbo diesel cube vans. When a company that has 20+ trucks converts from propane, well, nuff said.

I dont see anything wrong with propane powered pickups. My tata's truck is a 89 2500 seirra that runs on both gas and propane. Very clean engine from running years of propane.

I dunno, my gas budget is usually around 160$ a week,, at $1.50 a liter that would jump to 240$ (960$ a month) ,, thats a decent hit out of the ol' paycheck

Holy ***** bat-man $160 a week for gas, what cha drive a tank?

I give anyone 7 to 1 odds sky kids full of it, naw Im kidding on that - inside joke from some other thread, but seriously, thats a lot of $$$ + gas. I go through about 40 per week regularly, more if I do a lot of extra driving, then its maybe 60-80 for tha week. Why soo much?

I dunno, higher gas prices might get a lot of ppl off the roads making my trips quicker, then I wont waste fuel sitting in traffic, hmmm, Id save maybe 30% or more $$$ that way, I dunno sounds good to me.

Well, our step vans used to be propane. Now, we have to gas powered stepvans, 9 diesel stepvans, and 7 new GMC W series diesels. Basically Isuzu diesels. Oh, forgot, 6 GM turbo diesel 1 ton vans. So, we used to have 20+ propane trucks, all doing around 1000km/week, to having 0 propane trucks.
Just as a side note, I've seen UPS, FedEx, and Purolater, all ditching their propane stuff too. FedEx here in KW anyway, has at least 3 hybrid stepvans. Diesel electric. Sorry man, but when delivery companies are ditching propane, it's obviously not the way to go anymore.
Maybe it's the size of the trucks, or the fact that it runs on just propane, and not dual fuel, but we had nothing but problems with our propane stuff, and the trucks came right from GM with the propane small blocks. We didn't convert them.

Girlfriend lives 2 hours away, 1 hour at speed, but both speeds take the same amount of gas O_o., so you can imagine a couple 4 hour trips combined with a few trips the the niagara escarpment or belfountain and suddenly gas prices become very important... So yeah I put in 40$ every 2 days or so.

Doesnt beat when I was running a towtruck though,, 300-500$ a week on diesel easy, and diesel is such a ***** to fill up, because of the foam.

I suppose if I cut back on the driving I could drop 100$ off gas expenditures,, but then I would have nothing to do but post on here 24/7 *cough*stealthz*cough*

2 hr ride to see chicka - ouch, must be a sweet unit, I understand now. I thought maybe you were driving on flat tires and had yer idle set at 3,000RPM n didnt know it, lol. Ya should get her to drive out 2 you or move her in by you (the $$$ u save on gas could go towards rent and u wouldnt waste all that time driving).
