Useless Engine swaps
so we have shown pics and stories of crazy swaps that insane amounts of power for the car it was put in, now let see what absolutly useless swaps have been done?
ok so to start, there is a kid in my area that has a 91 teg, he took out his LS and put in a B16. now yes he gained about 30hp or so, but lost displacement and about 17ft/lbs of torque.
so if anyone reads kill stories, my 89 legend beat my friend 94 civic Si, then the other night, my friend with the Si raced the 91 teg, and needless to say the Si kicked A**, the teg is so slow it is embarrassing to know he paid "Tiger Japanese Auto Parts" $2600 for purchase and install. and let me tell you I had to fix so much crap that they did during install. I don't know who they have working for them but it is a complete hack job!!!!
so any other uselessness out there anyone knows of.

hummer h2 with the vortec 6.0 taken out and 5.3 put in

Honda Tech, I knew a guy who did that exact swap. Took out the LS for a B16. Maybe it's the same guy. That is a pretty useless swap, considering the LS has more potential.

with 20 000 in your pocket and plans for turbo with lots of turbo knowledge in your head , the B16A2 is a better platform believe it or not .
Allthogh people would argue displacement and low compression of the LS to be more benefic for the turbo ( and it probably would be on a daily driver ) , when taken to the max the B16A2 outperforms by simply beeing a more advanced engine .
I remember this one computer manufacturer having dynos some 2 years ago , boosting a stock B16A2 at 7.5 PSI and getting 300 hp out of it . And then you can check most of the canadian 9 second civics from 2 years ago ... they were all B16 turbo ... not frankenstein , 2.0 , 1.8 or anything else .

btw stock civic 94 SI vs 91 teg with B16A2 ...

A HUGE factor of your gas consumption is the vehicles weight.
Compare a 3000lb 2.0L I4 coupe/sedan gas milleage to a 500hp LS7 vette. Not much difference.

holy s***, I thought for sure by the second page Stealth would have first said any car with a B16 swapped in was useless, but way to go B6T, you got to it first. hell ya! lol
