SUV's and snow storm

good call, i always considered audi to be right alongside reliability. i know vw's are expensive to repair and are about as reliable as jumping off a bridge with a garbage bag for a chute. but i thought audi was better. maybe ill look at something else. i definatly dont wanna get a new audi, i dont like the 50K + price tags on them. maybe a couple year old sti

as far as i know audi and VW use most of the same parts... so i wouldnt think that they are too reliable... as for subaru, my buddy has a 99 impreza and a 2002 ish legacy and loves them both... hes had a few little issues with the window seals, it fogs up pritty bad but nothin big from what he's told me... ive heard that the motors are porsche boxter motors? but i thought that boxter was the design of the motor? any1 know the truth behind this?

interesting, everyone i know with an sti loves it. its soemthign ill look at. and boxter is the type of engine, its not a porsche motor its just that the pistons fire to the side not up and down. not sure onthe mirrors, doubt theyre the same but you never know

we have a 04 Audi A4 wagon that me mother uses to drive around town, has been pretty solid if you ask me
like any car, treat it well and it should pretty much work
oh, as a side note, boxsters have a Flat 6, S or not, all subbies have flat 4s, so they are not the same motors

Agreed!!! tires are key. also people that leave their rims on in the winter, i saw this 1 guy at canadian tire gas station a month ago when we got that big dump of snow, he was driving a vw passat or jetta cant remember, and he was hitting the rev limiter like crazy trying to get out of the parkinglot. what a dumbass. seemed like it was his first time driving in snow

snows or not, you still gotta use caution in the snow, we are no sebastian loeb... know your car's limits
its unfortunate but probably people outside here are those who think they are sebastian loebs, and they are the idiots who are going to ram into you!
