surround sound systems (need advice)

if it's a store they can be ok, pay with paypal for anything on ebay (you get some ability for a chargeback if things go bad, if you mail money your screwed) check shipping, a few places have real low prices and then gouge for shipping. I will be adding something to my store soon (researching what I have available that won't cost both arms and legs to ship)

so Im looking at my tv now and I notice that there are video IN and audio IN inputs....to get surround sound to work for TV dont I need audio OUT inputs from the TV (recievers have audio IN jacks)....am I basically screwed for having surround sound on this TV? I understand that it will work with DVD's and the Playstation, but what about normal tv?
hope that was clear enough...

If you have a dish system, then you can get regular tv to work- just run your audio RCA's to the back of the surround, you can get your TV audio to work with cable as well- just need a co-ax to RCA convertor and run the audio into the surround- but split it so you can use the tv speakers as well if you want. I know its not the best sound quality wise- but if you are only spending a couple hundred and your young, the sound quality isn't totally necessary IMO..

yea i have cable, so if I get a coax to RCA adapter...I plug my cable into that, along with the RCA's coming from the reciever, and then another cable to the TV?
...I think I got that right?
