so i just kicked my front door in

my parents are out of town, and my sister and i went out to get breakfast. well we usually just use the keypad to open the garage when we come home, but during the night we shut off the power to the garage cause we got robbed once in the middle of the night in our gargae. anyways, we came home and realized the doors were all locked and the garage was shut off and we basically had no way to get it. none of the neighbors have keys and we couldnt get a hold of anyone. after finally going over the edge i kicked the front door right in, broke the jam **** just where the handle locks. theres peices of wood and **** all over and its cracked. idk what my parents are gonna say but i relly dont care, it was a BS situation. what would you guys have done?

Yea... a set of keys is a good idea.

But, I have a picklock / jimmy set in my car almost all the time, so I would have just picked it

i have a house key with my car keys but my sister doesnt, and all of our windows are always locked. it was either call a locksmith, since i had nothing to pick the lock with, break a window or kick in the door. only a small section ofthe jam is broken and everything else is fine, should be like a 20 dollar fix and an hour or so. better than a busted window IMO. o well i told my parents over the phone and they were fine with it for the most part.
