Snowboarding
I was just wondering if anyone else on here snowboards or skis or anything? This is the most excited I've been for winter in a few years because I decided I'm going to start riding again, and since my car's put away already, I don't have to worry about it. So bring on the snow.
I'm planning on going out to the mountains to ride a few times too, I'm going to try to find the cliff I jumped off the last time I was in Fernie. It's gonna be a good year. So, anybody else got any plans for the winter so as not to go insane from boredom?

Definately! I just bought a season pass to Schweitzer mountain (the best one around where I live). http://www.schweitzer.com/
I went on opening day last Friday, it was AMAZING. 2-3 feet of powder. Only thing is I had to borrow a friends board, and it was a short one, so I got stuck in the powder alllll the time. Fun as hell though!!! ... My attempt for the first backflip of the year did not work out so well though...

That looks like a really nice place. I live on the prairies so I have to drive about 12 hours before I can see anything that even remotely resembles that. There's a place that used to have waterslides on the outskirts of town here, I'm gonna go see if I can do any decent riding there for the time being. I don't think the hills here open for at least 2 more weeks, but we just got a foot and a half of snow.

been doing it since I was 11...even taught my dad a few years ago, and he said he will never touch ski's again. I just got a new board and gear last year. 2005 Burton Raven, and I got for a steal off of ebay (ridden on twice and I only paid 230 dollars shipped for a board that was near 500 new), ****** thing was, is that I only got out on it once last year and for only a couple of hours.....this year Im going to try and live on the slopes

I attempt to snow-skate too.... not very good at that. It's usually just a drunk decision to get cold and hurt.
But yeah, I actually hate snow except snowboarding. I am moving with Steph to somewhere warm and I am SOOO thankful. I will make a thread about where Steph gets stationed as soon as its 100% (right not its 75% sure). I'll just say its the coolest place I can think of.
