Scenes from the King of Sports
It saddnes me to see how underrated soccer is in canada . And I know it's only because "they" havn't figured out how much money really is behind the game yet .
Untill then , here are some highlights that show the superiorior beauty of the game in contrast with other boring games :P

so you didn't like this one clip at all ?
btw i disagree with the soccer like basketball on tv ... The difference is that in basketball you see in a game arround 200 "goals" meanwhile in soccer , if you really root for a team you will go on smashing stuff in your house during a simple 0 - 0 game .
the other thing is that , watching soccer from a REAL stadium , and when i say real , i mean real as in you have to cross the ocean , can get preety agravating with 50 - 100 k people yelling , jumping up and down and putting huge banners up . while that atmosphere can be entertaniing , you won't be dooing much watching of the actual game .

Hey man I gotta agree with you. I dont know how people can think that soccer is boring. I know that Im already counting down until world cup 06 that ive been waiitng for what seems like so long. Every 4 years me and my dad lock ourselves in our basement and watch pretty much every soccer game on and when an England one comes on not too many people stay at home lol. My dad is originally from England and I love England soccer. WOOHOOO only 6 more months hahah

yea , england's got a killer squad this comming WC ... That mid axis Rooney , Gerrard Lampard , Ferdinand Terry is probably the most valuable combination in the world , I'm anxious to see how they'll do as a team . Woodgate's getting back into the the game also ... Too bad Scholes gave up though .
As for people who find soccer boring , maybe they were not lucky enough and only watched TV when Greece was playing , but even those games were mildly entertaining , since the other teams atacked constantly trying to breach the 11 men defense
In the end seriously it's all a matter of money . Baseketball and Hockey are so big here , that it would be a serious economical damage if everybody started buying soccer jerseys from europe and watching sports on foreign channels with LESS comercials ... That's another thing , unlike other sports , soccer won't be stoped by a ref so that TV can play comercials in between plays .
But the phenomenon is starting to break here , and just like Red bull , several years later ( I asked for it for 10 years untill they started selling it everywhere ) , we'll get it , we'll enjoy it and we'll love it also :burnout: :ugh2:

i dont really like sports where faking a grievous injury is encouraged. unfortunately i like soccer... but the pansys that have to drop every time someone runs past... ruin it for the casual viewer like myself.

so don't watch Seria A matches anymore
I agree the diving is retarded , also the fact that the refs are still trusted and video replay doesn't count . But that doesn't take away that much from the beauty of the game , and u know it

i just started getting into soccer and i have to say that although its not one of the rougher sports it (soccer) has some of the most bad *** fights and the atheletes to be running for that long are in great physical shape! i remember the first soccer game i saw.... the ref got punched in the face.....Great sport but nothing can replace hockey

soccer is a game of finesse ( unless u're brittish ) ... sure there are some uneducated hooligans that might treat the soccer field like a hockey ring but nowadays in profesional soccer , for such outbursts your career ends .
