A quick question and pics of my old cars
Hi this is my first post other than the intro forum, so first the quick question.
All i really want to know is whats the ford probes reputation in canada (i'll be moving over soon), In england it wasn't really popular and gets sniggered at a fair bit but i still think its one of the nicest looking cars around to date.
And now a few pics of my old cars.
my last car a mondeo st24 (you guys call them contour svt) although i believe ours look better.
my 2.5ltr probe
my *ahem* 2tlr probe
Any opinions welcomed

Ahh man coming from Europe to here you are guaranteed to be disappointed in the car scene, it's all civic humpers around here...
Probes don't get much respect, but most people don't know about 'em, somepeople that know appreciate 'em, its pretty easy to grab a good deal on a V6 probe here or an MX6.
Your cars seem pretty cool man, I like Mondeos.

yes they are dirt cheap.
and do yourself a favour... dont make it look like the 2 you posted pictures of... they are pretty ugly riced out cars.
by the svt contour instead and leave it like your white one.

Advice from a champ . STFU and let him mod his car however he wants.

sorry bud, but his "mods" look like . theres no way to sugar coat it, but some nasty interior paint, an ugly steering wheel that doesn't suit any part of the car, ugly wings that again look like straight out of a crappy tire catalog, all add up to a poorly done car in the looks department. as he hasn't stated what performance mods were done it seems that all he did was tack on a few odd pieces and called it a day.
the contour on the other hand is done nicely, just a good set of wheels and maybe lowered a bit and nothing that screams "i have no clue, lets start painting with nail polish".
as far as him getting a probe when he gets here, definately.. if he likes them, they handle well. but a contour svt would be a little nicer and a little rarer and more likely to have been taken care of by an enthusiast. most probes here are secretary cars and have been driven into the ground.

The Probe was my first car (so to speak) and I loved it. Had a really nice sound, went good enough, handled well.
I have since gotten rid of it, but definately would consider getting another one.

I personally would never buy a Probe again, but that's not because I don't like them. I drove my old 1997 Ford Probe GT from Calgary to Toronto in the summer of 2005. I hit a deer along the way. I got rear ended, backed into, and yet that car kept on going. In fact, after two years, 44,000 kilometers, and who knows how many "accidents", that car ran like a champ.
