day 6 of my new job at ralphs. my manager asked me to attend the cashier's class. woot!
well remember how well my interview went and how quickly i was hired? some said they must be desperate. haha you were right. apparently, they are really in need of night cashiers and in the short time ive been there, i really stood out.
it wasnt that hard for me to do, i mean i greet customers, im friendly, helpful, and just great with people. not to be cocky, but im one of the best courtesy clerks there. the other guys in my position are lazy high schoolers and this is probably their first job and they dont care. so my managers really noticed and the fact that i prefer nights was perfect, so they saved time and asked me to move up.
i have to attend a class in simi valley tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. 8 hours each day. rough, but cashiers start at $9/hr. this second job just became worth it. oh and ive been getting clues from my manager at my first job that im under review for my raise from $10 to $12/hr. he also told me im working out great. everything i mentioned about my work ethic in my interview was 100% correct, which is rare. im an excellent worker
