Nokia sued over 'exploding phone'
By Tim Richardson
A Thai man who had his right leg and five toes on this left foot amputated after his mobile phone exploded is suing Nokia for Bt1m (£13,650) in damages.
Prasit Sriseeluang, 50 - who had his handset tucked in his shirt pocket at the time of the accident - was working near a high-voltage power pole when his phone rang. The handset then exploded, causing serious injuries to the welder.

Ok was it just me or did anyone else notice anything weird about that stoy ?
"He had his phone tucked in his shirt pocket" ?!?!
So how does a cell phone exploding in your shirt pocket cause you to loose a leg and toes ? On top of that he was working near a high voltage pole, and he's a welder so it's pretty safe to say he was welding. Now with all that high voltage flying around did no-one stop to think that maybe the EMI from his phone ringing somehow caused an electric shock ?
