My 1992 Camaro had duplicated in 1:18th scale diecast

A new edition for the local car shows I'm in:

I'm proud to say I had my car duplicated in 1:18th scale diecast metal complete with opening hood, opening doors, working wheels, turning steering, Blue (w/ metal flake) with silver racing stripes (approx 3 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear), blue and silver interior front and rear seats, carpeting, headlining, custom pedals, instrument panel, steering wheel, ground effects, rear wing, fog lights, IROC Daytona hood, and much more..

The car was fabricated from the Sunstar 1:18th scale (10" long) (Ended up at around 11") 1982 Diecast as it's the ONLY one made.

The following was done to it to convert it to a 1992 Camaro along with all customizing that is found on my own car :

Ground effects, exterior door trim, t-top to convertable conversion, IROC Daytona Hood (hardest part), Louvers, rear wing, all fabricated from scratch. The nose was reshaped to match the 1991/1992's, removed window handles, painted interior door trim complete with carpeting on lower portion of inner doors as found on actual vehicle, headlight pockets and inner fog light compartment painted black, reshaped instrument panel, painted black/silver racing pedals, Torque thrust ][ rims, added fog lights, interior carpeting, headliner, 1992 Camaro steering wheel, blue/silver painted exterior, blue/silver seats front and back, 5.7liter TPI engine, remoulded taillights, dual exhaust pipes out back, exterior and interior emblems and decals (all of them that are on car is on diecast), painted door locks and door handles, added mirror decals for realistic reflecting side mirrors, and lots more..

I bought a nice display case with glossy wood platform... Nice car has to have a nice display for it. ;-)

The guy who did it is Al Avery of "Custom By Crash" and can be contacted here : http://www.camarosource.ca/cgi-bin/a...&gid=1&id=1572

He is currently experimenting by making and installing real leather seat covers over top the 1:18th scale diecast seats and real vinyl convertible top's.. Great guy to talk to and I sure hope you guys take advantage of this. I know a lot of people are looking for 1991/1992 1:18th scale diecast and no one will even do it. He's done it.. did it for me.. I am VERY happy with it. :-)

I contacted many other diecast (not many will do in 1:18th scale) and they would not touch it without a quote of between $700-$1000us EXCLUDING the cost of the diecast car itself.

I gave Al free lifetime advertising on the website, and distribute his business cards (my car is on some of them :-) ) at all the shows i'm in. :-)

As a result, the cost was around $200us
