OPP Catches Motorcyclist Going 200 Kilometres An Hour On Highway As Thanksgiving Blitz In Full Gear
Friday October 5, 2007

This Thanksgiving is full of firsts. It's the first one in a long time that it's ever been this warm, it's the first time in 30 years the dollar has ever been this high, sparking many to head to the U.S. and it's the first time in history police in Ontario have been given the power to seize your car on the spot if you're caught going 50 kilometres an hour or more over the speed limit.
The OPP have already flexed those new legislative muscles, taking down more than 150 drivers caught defying the new rules that were implemented last Sunday. They were out in force again Friday, taking part in the nationwide Operation Impact, designed to cut down on the carnage that traditionally rides the roads on the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Among those caught in the net: a motorcyclist allegedly going more than 200 kilometres an hour on the northbound 400. Cops tried to pull him over but he did it for them, winding up on the curb as he attempted to avoid one of the cruisers. "We have a 23-year-old in custody charged with dangerous driving, escape by flight, stunting," explains OPP Chief Supt. Bill Grodzinski. "He's an M1 license holder, shouldn't have been out here on the highway to begin with and it's not his motorcycle. Just a disaster looking for a place to happen. Extremely fortunate no one's been seriously injured here."
Some drivers were pulled over not because of their record speeds but because of their records, period. One was hauled away for operating a motor vehicle with numerous license suspensions. "There's a small minority of people that don't get it," Grodzinski complains. "The same people that are causing these senseless tragedies on our highways."
And these "same people" are proof that belies that old cliché that with age comes wisdom. "So far for these impoundments it's about 80 per cent males and we've seen ages from teenagers to people in their 60s," assesses Sgt. Cam Woolley. "But it's mainly young men in their mid 20s so far that are getting the impoundments. And I'll tell you, while most of them are caught for extreme high speeds, quite often they've also been drinking or are already under suspension for other dangerous driving offences."
Think you can beat the cops by slowing down when they're around and zooming away later? Then you're not up to speed. They've also got an array of unmarked cars patrolling the highways and a plane in the sky, tracking your every move from above. And while everyone is going away for the weekend, they're staying put. They'll be out there until late Monday night.

not just that but the gov should be stricter on who gets to work in their offices. let me say im not being racist but ive got a mind boggling question to ask here. ive been to an mto in the gta, and it was full of non whites, a handful, well most, barely spoke the fuken language. how do these people get government jobs while me, a white male whos fluently bilingual, cant get one? better yet, there was a guy on the old board that said he watched these ****ers take their own kind out to a car on a road test, sit in the lot for 15 minutes and ocme back inside and get their license. and you wonder why these ****ers cant drive. thats why, the government hiring mother****ers who take bribes and give licenses to idiots who dot know what the street signs are, or what the color lights mean, none of that .
i joked around about bribing my way to get my m license but in all reality i wouldnt. its not fair to everyone else who has to go throgh the graduated . plus this way it ensures that everyone has a grasp on riding before their allowed to get on a 2 wheel death machine.
i dunno just wanted to rant a little i guess. but theres your answer to why so many ****tards cant drive properly

its a story that has bothered my for years now for some many reasons.
imthe same way, i try to avoid the whole cell phone driving thing if i can. if its really important ill go as far as pulling over onto a side road to talk. but you get some jackasses that shouldnt be allowed to drive let alone multitask wihle driving.
i was almost hit by some clowns a few years back who decided that because they were on a main sideroad and i wa cutting through, that they didnt have to sto pfor the 4 way stop, had i gone i would have been hit.
hell another quick story going to back to abot 97 when i had my old auto cavalier. i was at a set of lights waiting for mine to go green, 2 lanes of traffic in each direction, so im witing to pull out and go straight, theres a truck beside me waiting to turn left.
anyways light goes green and i jut stared at it for about 3 or 4 seconds before i decided to go, so i let off th ebrake and start to roll and as i do a car blows the red light, and no word of a lie was traveling an easy 100 kph. my guess is they saw the light go yellow about 150 or so feet back and decided they didnt want to stop for it. fuken hate people like that. alsmot wich i had pulled out, imagine the lawsuit and the the life lesson that would have braught, lol

thats exactly it man, either way its gonna be thousands in fines and you loose your license, so why not take a chance and try to get away. the law is stupid, its only provoking more wreckless driving. expect to hear about alot more cop chases and alot more inocent people dieing as a result

Yeah I'm afraid a few people might take the "run" option if it means losing their: car or employers vehicle, their insurance, their job, their money and freedom. You'd think they might implement a 3-strike rule or something. Not like it matters to me having a target on my back all the time I drive very casual...now the rest of the 'tards can deal with Fantinos fantasy. Christ I was in Forest Hill tonight and saw some Michael Bryant signs on houses with S4s and M5s - you sure thats a good vote mr speedy businessman?
I want to borrow one of those signs and deface it or burn it at Queens Park.
How many homicides are we up to since they enacted the 150kmh rule anyway?
Oh well...election is a few days away good bye Dalton et al.

Saw a minivan gettin the tow job on the 401 tonight. On a side note a right hand drive comes in handy for ride checks....cuz cops are too lazy to walk around to the other side..hehehe

Thats good, because I get hammered and drive all the time. i should get a right side drive car and then the cops wouldn't bother me while I'm out on my death cruise.
Right?
