Last night I got hurt bad.... not good!
Well I'll make this short and to the point as right now I am on some serious pain meds.
Last night I was going to go out for a little cruise with some guys from our car club, got a call to go help a friend get a "box" into his house. So I hopped into the Z and went over there. I get out and he has a 6 foot tall safe he needs brought into the house up a couple concrete stairs on a dolly. It weighs over 500 lbs. No problem, I have done stuff like this hundreds of times. So he and his son are on the bottom of the dolly and I am on the top. I tell them when we get it on an angle and balancd, don't push the top over. Well we go to go up the first stair and guess what they did. well both my legs got crushed under the safe. It hurt really bad but after the safe got off my legs it felt like two really bad sprains. I went white as a ghost and into slight shock. I called my wife on my cell and told her to come over. I got to my car, and drove it home. Got in the house by crawling and went upstairs to soak my legs in the tub. I then had my wife and kids take me to the ER. They did X-rays and found my one leg is broken. The other has a ton of damage as well. I am supposed to use crutches to get around but landing on the unbroken leg is like someone is hitting me with a sledge hammer. So right now mobility is being pushed around on a office chair. I don't know when I will be going back to work and afraid I will get layed off. This means I would loose my insurance and my wifes cancer surgery would be up in the air. I can't let that happen. I will find out more when I go to the ortho doc on monday. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. Just when you think it can't get much worse, it does. Hopefully his insurance picks up everything and got to see if it will cover time lost from work. Thanks...

I don't know what to tell you.
I will definitly keep you and your family in my prayers. I guess I don't understand how they can legally lay you off for this(I'm not saying people don't do it). If they do I'd definitly file a lawsuit.
But like I said I'll keep you and your own in my prayers. NO ONE should ever have to worry about losing their job and taking care of their family!!! That's a whole new level of stress that no one deserves.

Hopefully his homeowners will kick in pretty quickly and take care of it for you and everything will be back to normal as fast as possible.
I really feel bad for you because this only happened because you're a good person and went to help them out. If you need the hookup with some free Panera food just let me know I know not much but not living close to you that's about all I can do. Actually I might be able to get some delievered to your house. I'll have to check and see what the closest location is but let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7: 7-8
One of my favorite verses that is true and has proven itself on so many levels. Ask for help and it will be granted, keep your eyes, ears and heart open and take nothing for granted.
As mentioned earlier, you will be in my prayers.
