Agreed. I've taken my car there before, thankfully they only did an oil change and nothing else. Middle of winter, yeh. It'd be interesting to see if they do it here in Michigan. If I had 300 dollars to throw away to see whether or not they actually do the maintenance stuff, I'd do it.

yea... that happened at alot more then just jiffy lubes... my dad just to work at a ford dealership where he suspected some poeple that worked there wouldnt do the work they said they did... the dealership made each job worth a certian amount of hours no matter how long it took to do somehitng they got paid for it ... he would get upset when people were gettting there checks for 60+ hours in a week and working 40 or less...

At most dealerships they actually do do the work im sure there are some that dont but flate rate is what your talking about and there are jobs i can do in an hour that the book says takes 4 so i got paid for 4 hours in one. That is how good mechanics make good money is by doing a job good and fast geting the flate rate and moving on to the next. I did it for about 2 months waiting to come into the army after auto trade school and i was bringing in 50 60 hours a week in pay for 40 hours of work and i did every job i was paid for. PS flate rate s mechanics up when a job they did comes back. If work was done or said to be done and the car has the same problem what ever mechanic worked on it has to fix it without getting payed laber for how ever long it takes. Sorry bout the long *** post.

mechanics suck. period. lol. very rarely do you find and honest one who treats you like a respectable customer.
