as i've said countless of times ...
a few years back I had an initiative to go against the insurance companies on this very site . I figured ... about 90% of the people bitch about insurance rates . Maybe if we get 50% of these people to somehow support a movement against the insurance assers , we can do something about it .
The conclusion was of course , right off the start , that 90% of the people that bitch about insurance rates , would rather keep on bitching and feel the deeper in their *** , year after year , than do something about it .

also you must be aware of the fact that your car is a write off if the damage is more than 38% of the black book value of your car .
So basically you buy a car for 3000 $ . The black book value would be arround 1500 - 2000 . Some idiot rear ends you .
now it goes like this :
used bumper : 200 $
paint on the bumper : 250 $
re-bar : 100 $
labour : 100 - 300 $
your face when you realised that you just got ed in the *** and that your 3000 $ car will be thrown away and u'll be given half of the money you've spent to buy the same car ( good luck with that ) ... priceless ... that's why they have those insurance claim guys that come to take pictures . they secretly take one of your face when you hear the news . Then they give it to the insurance underwritters so that they could laugh their asses off while shoving hudred dollar bills in them .

lol ... violence doesn't work anymore esp mass violence , subtle violence would do nice damage ( ex : Fight club ) but it would victimise the ers ...
a few years ago when I wanted to try ... I basically wanted to get all the people on the site to sign off on such a movement ... and then they could get their friends ... etc . etc
i guess we can do like the caravan drivers and block off a highway or some ( on a weekly basis ) . I mean , i figure 10 000 people shouting all at the same time for the same thing would get heard . Theoretically there should be at least 100 000 - 200 000 souls in Toronto alone that REALLY dislike insurance companies . Imagine getting all of them ...
but really , i don't think there are enough people with ***** to do something like this ... as for this site , i guess many of the users would have to ask their parents and they'll say no

The idea of thousand of people jammin the highway won't affect insurance company.. since a.) you have to have insurance to drive the vehicle there in the first place b. ) thats just another rush hour to most toronto folks c.) it still doesn't affect there pocket book.. Good idea though.. keep the idea goin..
So it seems some people do get affected.. and some don't.. so I wonder in those cases.. wat kinda history do they have ( if you had previous claims and or if claim amount was high.. did they jack the rate based on history then? )
