I quit Dodge today.
Yes, after six long months, I finally handed in my DaimlerChrysler tags, and quit. It was a long time coming. Too many salespeople on the floor, not enough traffic coming in. Didn't justify my staying there.
So as of Tuesday, February 1st, I officially start at Cam Clark Ford, in Winnipeg. Yes, Ford. A Camaro-driver is working for Ford.
But it makes sense. GM has done nothing to keep my loyalty. Ford is still considering the needs of the performance oriented buyer like myself who doesn't want to pay $70,000 CAD for an impractical car. Not to mention that GM's sales are declining.
So it's time to decide... should I demo an 05 Mustang GT?

As long as you don't get rid of the camaro, sure. A job is a job. And if you can be happier working for Ford more power to yah. No reason to sell off the car though.

What's been replacing the camaro lately...I think that GM has decided to fill the empty camaro spot with that new cobalt thing. What is that thing? The commercials are good but i dunno....keep the camaro...but the 05 Mustang is quick...and its really nice...my friend got one in red.

05 GT's are nothing special, about the same power as the previous GT's and the new GT even weighs more.

I was tired of seeing them when they first put it into the magazines.....
Hope you are happy with your new job....Stick with the camaro, only get the stang if you're keeping it.
The GTO was basically something to fill the Camaro/Firebird void.... I like the GTO, but some of these new concepts scare me. The new Charger concept, I am not liking. I liked the 99, though. And was liking the Chevelle, but I've seen different pics that are changing my mind.....

1. Never said I was selling the Camaro. I need a winter car, that's where the Stang GT comes in.
2. Whoever said GM's sales are ahead of Ford's, you'd be correct. HOWEVER, GM's sales are still DECLINING, not 'going up' as you said. They can be ahead and still be losing sales.
3. Rockford Fosgate Fan, your comment just proves to me you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. First off, the new GT has a 300 hp 4.6L V8. The 04 models had 260hp. Second, you have obviously never DRIVEN ONE. I have driven both the 04 GT and the 05 GT, and the 2005 is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than the previous Mustang. It handles much better, the gearbox is tighter, the interior is nicer, the exterior is to die for. There is honestly nothing that the 2004 Mustang will beat the 2005 Mustang in... except maybe price, but they only went up $400 from last year's MSRP.
I'd be keeping my Camaro, but I'm still leaning towards getting a GT for a second car.

GM sales arnt going down that much, and if anyone read the new Automotive Design, you'd Know gm isnt keeping there perfromance faithful waiting much longer. Big changes for the better commin at GM u watch over the next few years. the cobalt is sweet, Id get the SS cobalt for a third car!

The Cobalt SS is nice until you realize that it's still front-wheel drive, and there is no guarantee that they'll even offer a quaife LSD as an option, let alone standard equipment, making it absolutely useless from a performance standpoint. Remember the first year of the SRT-4? No LSD, made the car useless to performance buffs.
The 2005 Mustang GT is actually designed PROPERLY, which is a first for the Mustang in many many years. It's not just faster than the old one, it handles better than the old one too. GM? Mopar? Where are their performance faithful? Great, the GTO was built, too bad it looks like a Grand Prix coupe. Mopar? The Charger is now a four-door family car... 'ooh, with a Hemi!' DaimlerChrysler really dropped the ball on that one. There is nothing left for the performance-oriented buyer except little turbocharged/supercharged four-cylinder engines.
The Mustang has gone soft since its pavement pounding days of the late 60s. Ford has managed to revive what was once a legend with this new one. It has soul, and spirit. The GTO doesn't. The Charger DEFINITELY doesn't.
