Alright i don;t know about you guys, but sometimes fiddling with wastegate actuators, oil feed lines or anything around the turbo manifold you can get burnt prettty goood. I know i know i should have let the car cool down ! I mean if u touch for even a second ur hand is toast... i would post pics of my small burns here and there, but i am too lazy.

I am a Professional Tech, and it's the fore arms that get burnt all to crap....
for some reason they never taught us anything at trade school about working on Hot engines
Some of the Trucks I work on have twin turbos in series. under hood temps are at an all time high....

as badassgn was saying sometimes you don't have the time to wait and when you need to get things done in a hurry that one slip hurts. Anyways i was retightening exhaust manifold bolts and downpipe bolts. It was aftermarket downpipe with a flexpipe and whoever made it was a little off on the flange angle so i waited for it to heat up to give it that final tightening.

Yeah i hate wearing mechanics gloves as as soon as u get a drop of oil on them they are ruined. I know they are more from dry applications, but its usually hard to avoid oil or grease. I like nitrile gloves, but i go through about 3 or 4 pairs a day because i rip them. At roughly 10-15 dollars for a box of 100 you can run out quickly!
