So this 93 civic comes in 290 some K,s . Using oil miss in one cyl. Regular customer. Boss says we are gonna put in a short block we rebuilt , stock , and use the civic head.Boss and his kid pull the mtr an trans as a unit .
Heres the joke . The head has got a burnt exhaust valve , looks too me like the valves or seat are reccessing into the head, probably useless . The clutch disc is wore right too the rivets. The exhaust man is cracked on the back of it . The 02 looks dead. The plugs are fubared. Major greif . I keep telling him , you cant make money on motor work on beaters . Just put in a motor from japan or lucky and be done with it .
Now we got one bay with the civic and its guts all over the floor. And boss is talking like he,s gonna lap a new valve in by hand .??
If I can just make it till saturday just one more time ..77.

3 days till saturday. A rant , I guess. This stuff goes on all the time . Gets into big long projects , left on the hoists for days , weeks . Then you cant remember where all the little pieces are ,you gotta look at each nut or bolt twice , or one of the kids moved stuff. Like we put a used water pump on this newly done short block.??. Why?? Is everybody,s boss like this .
