here's all the nifty crap I got on vacation to florida!
So I was on vacation in sarasota, My pops and i hit 3 yards one on oneco and two in bradenton. Some mk2 content, but not a whole lot.
"The Haul""
The badge marked "jetta III" was on a mk2 golf and some sweet lettering from a 99 Jetta.
Porsche Centre caps. from a 84 944, front end was burned beyone recognition. I wanted the mint steering wheel off it, but he wanted $100 for the whole sterring column, wouldn't sell me just the wheel. :banghead:
Some hubcaps from a 70's aircooled bus, I will Polish them up and they will lovingly adorn the new garage (just bought a house) when I get back!
and we cruised past a flea market lookin for tools and I found2 of these old avon bottles shaped like beetles. paid a quarter each for them. still have the original labels and lids! Sweet find for the enthusiast in me! Guy thought I was an Avon collector and tried to sell me all sorts of other stuff LOL!!!
CLeaned em up a bit while I was there. in the process of polishing them right now, they could be a LOT shinier!
another days findings. Yeah I know its just badging, but I was travelling so I can't grab too much, or aything really big.
Some interesting Custom interior
Some of the cars were in decent shape. here's the porsche and the aircooled I took stuff off. I wish I could get a bus like that!
Poor girl!
This latest stuff Í've picked up on the way back home, stopped at an antique mall in ohio!
Scored a sweet 1980 Rabbit Avon bottle (I know, its avon, but its VW) never seen one like it. checked ebay and found beetle ones like the others I have, and a dune buggy, even a bus!
but in any event, this one is in excellent condition, sealed (thankfully, ever smelled avon musk?? ugh!) and with the Mint Box
Not bad eh?
A sweet print ad for a VW Fast Back. pretty funny ad!
The whole she-bang!
Lots of good stuff. some good memories as well. all in all a good vacation!
