In Europe it's even worse than in North America, that's why most of the vehicles over there are diesel. A lot of the pricing does have to do with people panicing though, when the refineries were hit from Katrina everyone paniced because most of the U.S refining capabilities were hit but that is only a small fraction of what is produced in the middle east, in Saudi Arabia alone they produce billions of barrels of oil a day.
The war in Iraq isn't helping things because the fuel companies are all worried that if someone blows up a pipeline then there is going to be a fuel shortage so they have to make money now. Just know this, it's only going to get worse.

The U.S. may be one of the largest oil producers in the world, but in the entire global perspective, it is only a very small percentage of the total oil produced. There is nowhere near the same amount of oil refined in the states as there is in the middle east which is why the price for fuel is so cheap over there. Again look at Europe their prices are higher than ours over here, but they don't have oil refineries there.

Gas is just wrong. The thing is that I used to spend more money on gas back when it was cheaper than I do now. I used to go places more, and just go cruise for a while. Now I go nowhere but work pretty much and try not to use any more gass than i have to, so they are losing money from me.
Nothing wrong with going on Egypt on vacation. It's one of the top 4 places that I would go to if I had the money to vacation around the world. Germany, Greece, Egypt, and Australia/New Zealand.

I swear almost every recruiter in WI has asked me to join the army... I cant even shop at wal mart, or hand out food in drive through without being asked (im not exadurating, i was asked in both of those places)...
I was told a couple years ago by the N.G. recruiter that the reserves are the last to be sent to Iraq when I told him I like my country, but Im not willing to die for it ... psh, shows you how bad the wars gotten.
