I read about this about a month ago... I dont think they can monitor, or afford to keep track of anything like that... Im sure it will get passed down or whatever. If it does get passed, I officially hate this ******* country.
I guess the most important issue at hand in our country is wasting/ "saving" money with the internet.

I've been keeping up to date with this. The Net Neutrality is the spotlight of the week. It's a pointless thing to worry about. Yes, technically, the big companies can do that. Will they? Chances are slim. Yes, the idea for the architecture to have high priority packets compared to low priority packets is already in place and they possibly could do it, but I doubt they ever will.

umm this is a long drawn out discussion.. and i used to think the same way you do about the minimum wage hike being good for us small time, not so well off people, so that we could make more money.. but after extensive studies through my college degree i found, along with most other well educated business/political/economics persons, that a raise in the minimum wage is actually only harmful to those of use who make minimum wage or even close to it..
it increases high school drop out rate as kids will drop out more easily since they can make more money... it also decreases the number of entry level jobs (those paying minimum wage) as businesses are not willing to pay the increased rate for labor (instead they invent new techology to take the place of those workers and decrease the number of needed employees)..this also causes companies to make job cuts and possibly fire several of there entry level employees (those making minimum wage).. and it also creates raises and job security for those in well experienced, higher level, well paying jobs, (since there are fewer entry level jobs, there are less ways to get into a field and gain experience needed to move up) this hike in job security also makes those currently in higher level, well paid positions, more valuable since there will be no one to take there place (therefore giving those already making well above minimum wage opportunities for more money and advancement)
i hope you understand what i am trying to say.. the minimum wage hikes basically do exactly opposite of what you would think they would do.. they in virtually no way benefit the "little guy" or those making minimum wage..

Wow, finally someone who understands how the world works. Thank you for posting that. I can tell you for a fact that this is completely true in every aspect. I for one hire less people the higher min. wage goes up because I can save money for my company that way and that's the only reason we're here.
