Haha ok maybe I didn't think this as through as I thought. I started test fitting this today, took the CD player out and found out there's no aux in... atleast not right now. Apparently I have to buy a damned adapter. My kenwood cd player has a plug in the back meant for CD changers and what not... someone else made an aux in cable for the plug with two RCA jacks, so I gotta buy that sometime before it'll fully work... just a speed bump, no big deal though.
It's amazing how horrible this thing fit.. I have cut away so much, and it's still not fully done my dad and I decided to take a break for the night because it was getting to the point that it was frustrating. Once it's all done fitting, then I get to fill it in some more because making the glovebox close and the knee bolster panel fit meant cutting right through it and opened some holes. Anyway, here are some pictures of it bolted in to place. This thing is massive...
Edit: Do you guys think it'd look good or tacky if I painted the middle pepper red to continue the look of a stripe down the center of the console?

Grant, what'cha mean? It's gonna be painted, yah, but what doesn't look good?
Adam, I thought about it being tilted up, but that means it'll catch more sunlight. I figure straight up and down means it'll still be visible.

Well i knwo uit'll be painted, i'm just hoping that the fact it's not is what's bothering me about it. Something just doesnt' seem right. Liek it's outa place or there's somethign missing. Something i just cant' put my finger on but it looks like it's not going to be as cool as we all think. But like i said - you has immpressed me before. So i have faith.

I hope it still does when it's finished, lol. Truthfully, I'm already having thoughts of how I'm going to make the new bezel for v2... but that won't be for atleast 6 months or so cause I'm **** tired of sanding already lol.
Arch, yeah little bit. Not too much of a tilt, but just enough that the shifter doesn't interfere with the screen (else I'd be slammin into the screen everytime I put it in park)
Test fitted the cd player in the glove box, fits fine. I'm going to extend the cables now and hopefully by tonight I'll have the CD player in it's final resting place and setup.. minus the input plug. Still got a lot of computer work to do. It actually looks as thought the motherboard will fit PERFECTLY where the ledge is that's supposed to hold the cd player. Might just bolt it straight to the ledge.. it's open enough in the back for airflow, but just to be safe I'll still use the fans.

haha yeah I got the idea off of mp3car.com, someone else did it there and it looked sweet. He said he used 2 cat5 cables since it's a 16pin plug. I would've finished it all last night but my dad was being bright and said we should get a plug on the sunvisor so that I can remove the entire sunvisor for whatever reason should arise.

lol that's sarcasm, right?
i'm more so thinkin if my connection on the face plate goes bad and I have to fix it.. having a plug to "unplug" the sunvisor would make the job easier.

lol yeah I definitely did. I never used the mirror so I never worried about it. I'm actually thinking of just cutting the sunvisor in half since I never use it anyway.
