Bought some turds today.....
Well here is the short story. Went to work today at a hospital. Was talking with the building engineer. Got to talking about F-bodies and the car club. He tells me he has two third gen T/A's sitting in his garage along with his wifes baby (03 cobra) One of the T/A's he was taking apart but has every part for the car. The other needs a little work done to it. Both have had the tranny's rebuilt with 0 miles on them. The one that is together needs the carb redone and an intake. Both cars have 100k on the od. So he says, do you know anyone that wants them? My wife wants me to get them out of the garage and I have lost intrest. So I say how much and are they solid cars? He says yup, and the only thing the one car is missing is a window motor. He says.... 5 for both of them. I asked 5k??? He says no 500, I just need to get them gone, I have had them since new and I just don't want to junk them cause they are good cars. So I said SOLD!! I will be picking them up in 2 weeks. So I call my good friend Dave, ask him if he would be interested in the one that is partially taken apart, he says hell ya.....SOLD!!!! So I bought a solid T/A for the low low price of $250.....HA HA!!!! I am going to do a father/ son project on the car and give it to my Son for his 16th. I don't have pictures to post of them but I will get some up when I get them. The car coming to our house is Burgandy and the other is red. Both are H.O. cars with T-tops. No holes, couple little patches of surface rust on one car. The red one has the standard fin the other has the moulded. So needless to say my son is besides himself.

Time to start polishing that baby. I wish I had the opportunity to work on my car with my dad, but he just wasn't really into that kinda thing. Not that he doesn't like cars, he just isn't much of a wrench turner. Myself on the other hand, love turning the wrenches and will probably do something like this for my kid when I have one.
