Well MTO and cops are at it again.
In Kitchener last week the cops & MTO had a parking lot on King & Victoria set up for inspecting vehicles. There were about 10 MTO officers and 7 or 8 cops inspecting modified vehicles. They had a bunch of bigass construction lights set up and the emissions van there too, so I'd assume they were not only checking for safety items and modifications, but also doing emissions tests. I guess cops were pulling cars over around town and sending them to this location for inspections. As well as bicycle cops yanking over cars and sending them in.
It was quite the elaborate setup!

Odds are very high the will happen in the GTA as well as out east.

What happens if you car doesn't pass emissions test, but has all the emissions equipment intact? Are thy going to pull your plates? Are they doing emission tests on all those old junkers we see on the roads, or just the younger crowd with the modified cars?

I'm looking at it this way... the only thing they are going to realize by emission testing all these modified cars is that the majority of the cars, or the cars that are built properly, are going to pass the emission test with flying colours. The cars that don't pass the test don't belong on the road, plain and simple. I had my car tested last year, and it passed with less pollutants then it did when I first tested it like 4 years ago... and it still had the original 14 year old catalytic converter on it. After they realize that these "pollutant producing cars which their irresponsible teenage drivers had removed the emissions equipment from" don't exist, what are they going to bitch about then?

If they pull me over, I'm going to straight up start talking to their faces because I know that my car is more then mechanically sound and clean running.
