Best Blu Ray player?

I've been looking around to try and find the best deal on a blu ray player of decent quality, but I keep on figuring out the same thing. The PS3 is as cheap, or cheaper than most blu ray players, should I just grab me a PS3? or is there better? My tv is a 40" Samsung 1080p 30,000:1 HDLCD

yeah ps3 is probably the cheapest/best way to go. Once I decide I really need a movie in HD (which will probably be at the end of this year since there are soo many good movies coming out) thats what I will be getting.

The PS3 seems like a great way to go but do they offer a remote or do you have to use the stupid PS3 controler like you did with the PS2 and its DVD player?

I think any retail store as at least to my knowledge no one sells them cheaper than what you'll get at any store. Plus then you'll have a place to take it back in case of something.

You can't find the one with 80gb or whatever anywhere..... I mean anywhere, not the internet or anything. You'd have to get the lower one, 40gb (?), at a retail store or something.
