Bolt-ons and raised boost (stock turbo) and you can obtain 300whp and 400tq.
Gotta love the 7m's torque.

yeah thats alot of torque, straight 6's are always a nice engine to work with, generally an inline motor is fairly strong too

ok buddy relax. youre talking like this is my first ride. you dont know me, so dont try to talk like you do. you not having the sense to build a proper car in the first place isnt my problem.
the miata runs the same power plant, albeit, slightly less powerful, then the one in my mx6.
the miata is a good starting point, but far from done. if you actually knew me, instead of runing your mouth, you would know something about the car, and the route im taking with it, therefore dismissing your comment.
either way, still confused with how you know about it. who told?

relax about what? your interpreting this like im pissed or being an ***. from what i understand you baught the bpt powered miata right?
i did everything to my own car, i baught the car with not a single aftermarket part on it and have braught it to its current state, therefor built not baught.
i know because i do, i have friends who know people who know other people and things dont stay quiet for too long i guess.
as for the car, sure i chose the platform becaues in 99 there werent many of them being modified and even now the car looks completely stock from the outside and even sports some black rims just to offset it a little, but its running on upgraded front and rear brakes, adjustable suspension with tie bars all around, a large handful of bolt ons and a turbo kit that i designed and installed. why did i choose this car, for the sheer fact that it shocks people. really if i wanted to go fast in a straight line i would have taken a fox body mustang because for pennies youve got an 11 second car. i decided to challange myself and build something that isnt commonly made fast and i made something thats quick enough to take on alot of street cars and is still fun to drive around town but wont attract the wrong attention.
as for my attitude, ive got none, if i remember right you had started with comments towards me, i had jokingly said that id take on a mk3 with my bolt on cavalier, and had you seen the you would have know i was playing around. after all this thread went from who wants to race to cavaliers vs supras to cavalier vs your miata, lol. just jumped all around all over the place.
the miata is a good starting point if you plan on boosting the car, they handle great stock, they can be made to handle really good and with the right mods can be rather quick, as can anything else with enough money and time invested into it.
now i will agree, cavaliers i nstock form handle ok, they stop ok ,they do get up and go a little but arent nearly as fun as many other street cars are in stock form. and ill be the first to admit that even, theyre an entry level car thats made cheaply and breaks random parts. but really why be the same as everyone else when i can have something original
now take some of your own advice, i wasnt running my mouth, i was stating points. sure it may not be your first car but dont assume i dont know anything about cars.
also a supra, especially one of the newer ones wold probably be one of the last vehicles id buy, theyre expensive, theyre heavy, they make terrible drag cars, and the insurance for them is through the roof. be it they are nice cars and ive got a friend with a modified one that goes pretty good and is nice to ride in, its just not my cup of tea, but to each theyre own. hell what do i know, i just drive a cavalier right

allright fair enough. something tells me if we actually knew each in person, rather then trying to smack talk over the internet, we would probably get along just fine
