Tell me why is it that almost every thread i go to i see these 2 J-body owners (StealthZ and yellowCavy) talking so much about hondas. I'm really hoping they both come out in the summer, so i can show them how a honda kicks they're asses.

like a GM what? I dont think theyve built anything after the 90s that retains its value like a Toyota Supra.. then again, i dont think they built anything with the same capabilities either....

I was comparing my car to yours, in which case you will lose in every category, even in my cars stock form.

But if you want to get into GM cars...

Lets see, 3 weeks ago my brother bought a 2006 G6 GTP 6Speed, fully loaded, leather all power options yadda yadda yadda. 3.9L OHV V6 260hp or something around there.

It has 1200km's on it since he bought it.

The check engine light has been on for 1/3 of those km's. It had to be TOWED to the dealership once already, where they began to diagnose and fix the problem. The next day it was picked up and on the way home, bam, check engine light. Next day it goes back to the dealership. It has now been there for 3 days and no word. Only 1200kms!! Here is the best part, when returning the car to the dealership the second time, there was another 2006 G6 GTP (black one) that had even less km's on it, guess what. It had 3 cylinders blown!! WTF?!!?

If I shell out over $30 000 for a brand new car I expect it to go more than 1200kms problem free, especially with all these warranties that say the car should last years problem free, yea right.

ah so youre comparing a cav to a supra...way to go, i bet you must feel proud. is it the turbo or n/a. dont get me wrong, i never said anything about supras. i wish i had one. i hate hondas for my own reasons, despite its engineering. i dont know why people think im a domestic person. i own one yes, because i like cavs, i always liked the body styling and thats my personal preference. i never said i hated imports.

20 year old toyota with a black book value less than your cavalier. Is that really a bad comparion? I guess that just shows how far behind the engineering department at Chevrolet is. Isn't the Z24 model considered a sports car?

and also, try comparing the black book values of both cars when they were new. obviously i can buy a 20yr old supra with 300k on it for less, but why would i. especially if its n/a because they are wood.

^ Wood, yes. But in the case of a Supra, your car is a toothpick whereas the Supra is a mighty oak. You'd still get your *** handed to you by one.

the 84 non turbo ones run 16.3 in the 1/4mi, the 89 turbo runs 15.3 in the 1/4mi. 15.3 and turbo isnt fast. id rather take the mk4 supra.

A lexus will take on anything GM can produce in the high end department (not sports cars, cause the zo6 is definetly a beast), but anything in the luxury department lexus owns GM.
