5 reasons hip-hop/rap is a joke
TOP FIVE THINGS THAT WOULD NEVER FLY IN ANY OTHER INDUSTRY ON THE PLANET (AND/OR THE HISTORY OF THE PLANEY), BUT FLY EVERY DAY IN MAINSTREAM HIP-HOP:
5. The more drugs you've (claimed to have) sold, the more people you've (claimed to have) killed, and the more females you've (claimed to have) "******", usually the more popular you will be or even the more albums you'll sell.
4. You can use the word "******" referring to black people (only if you're black) as many times as you want and still maintain popularity, sales, and endorsements. Example: Lil' John in the song "Real ***** Role Call":
"My ******!
Be some "Send them hoes out!" *** ******!
Your ******!
Be some tricking "Don't pay them hoes!" *** ******!
My ******!
Be some Don Juan pumpin' *** ******!
Your ******!
Be some 22 havin' *** ******!
My ******!"
3. During your work day you can refer to a female human-being as any single derogatory word, name, or phrase you can possibly think of, the least of which is usually "woman" (or God forbid a proper name).
2. You can "write" the following lyrics and someone will actually invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in your "idea" AND will actually MAKE MONEY off of your idea:
"this is why im hot, this is why im hot, this is why, this is why, this is why, im hot this is why im hot, this is why im hot, this is why, this is why, this is why im hot, IM HOT CUZ IM FLY, U AINT CUZ U NOT, this is why, this is why, this is why im hot, IM HOT CUZ IM FLY, U AINT CUZ U NOT, this is this is why, this is why, this is why im hot"
1. You can be pretty much on top of the industry and then decide to have sex with and/or **** on a girl between the ages of 14 and 16 making yourself a registered sex-offender, and... basically... you can come back to the industry as if nothing ever happened with little or no change in your popularity or sales.

There are a few select good rappers around now. Anything associating with Dr. Dre Ill listen to, but Ill put 5 bucks down that if you turn it to mtv right now youll see a song that fits all 5 of these categories
I wish there were more good rappers still around. You know, people who actually put THOUGHT into a song.

I like rap... that falls more into the freestyle category, that is original. There isnt always tremendous bass, a ton of cussing, or even about that topic or anger issue. Linkin Park is 'rap' and you really cant pick a single song out of all of their cd's that you think is 'bad'.

i wouldn't exactly call that hip hop.... its more of the mainstream rap that takes no talent, if you listen to real hip hop like jurassic 5, aesop rock, blackalicious, talib kwali or the roots you would understand the diffrence between the two. between rap and hip ho theres always a few people that give everyone else a band name, I.E. 50 cent, little jon and any of those other no talent hacks. and linkin park just plain sucks.
