Screen over vent system
Hello everyone,
My first post here. My wife has a 93 coupe and the damn mice keep making a mess in there. I am in the process of removing a nest from inside the duct work. I will be cutting a section out and epoxying it back in after removing the nest. the thing is they will be back. I want to try something new. I have not seen anywhere anyon has tried to take aluminum/steel screen material and epoxy that over the vents to prevent them from entering.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Does anyone know where the outlet vents are? I assume the only inlet vents are in the cowel. My 80Z has outlets in the door jam. I can't find them on the '93.

Sorry I wasn't clear enought. Maybee I can describe better.
I am talking about the ductwork vents. The inlet is on the cowl. There is a black plastic peice that sits under the windsheild whipers that has a screen on it. I think all cars have an outlet vent as well. When you turn on your AC to max it shuts the inlet vents. The mice get in and end up in the blower motor. This time the nest is against the AC coil (I think condenser) in the ducts and I can't reach the damn thing to get it out. Now I have to cut the ducts and epoxy it back togather. I am fed up with the mice getting in to the duct work. Last year some died in the area where the carpet is notched for the rear passenger seat belts. We still don't have the smell out. I went to the dealership yesterday and asked where the outlet (its called pressure releife valve) is and its on the driver side under the bumper cover. I have not seen it yet to see if anything can get in there, but I will find out soon. I am going to take off the "cowel screen" and screen over the actual inlet vents with aluminum screen and epoxy. I will most likely take out the outlet vent and screen over that and put the valve back in.
Is there anywhere else the mice can get in? I know this may be a loosing battle, but I'm gonna fight it anyway! Damn Mice!
Thanks All,
Kevin
