Nah, this one beats the hell out of me, its done this several time before, but then it goes away the next day. But this is the 3rd day in a row its done this. My neighbor who's a car guy (has a sick nova, built it from the ground up, I should really post some pictures) was even stumpped. But as for now, my only guess is a coolant temp sensor. Im open to any other opinoins.

yea my coolant was low and the sensor light was on, i was like wtf my coolant shouldnt be low, and ill be damed to go under my hood today and checked the coolant, I use the orange stuff added some of that stuff in and bam the sensor light turned off, I mix distilled water with collant. Works good. The orange stuff is for aluminum, im sure most of you use it as well.

u should have 2 temp sensors. 1 that reads the temp in the wp and sends the info to the ecm which then triggers the fans. and 2 the other should be in the cylinder head.. that one is for gauge. From my experience i've known of only 2 reasons why the fans would constantly run... engine temp to high.(or the computer thinks so)..& from what i read in the repair manual.. a faulty smog pump will do the same thing, also check the coolant level. U should do a diagnostic test first though!

The 3800 has a dual purpose temp sensor, directly under the throttle body, I tried unplugging it and it does the same thing without throwing any lights, so Im assuming its that. The haynes manual was no good here, other than telling me the 3800 has a dual purpose semp sensor.
