this question has probably already been asked, but here goes.....

The other day I started up my Camaro and the RPMs kind of jumped from 1000 to 1100 periodically at idle. At idle, the car also vibrates, a little more than it should. Any ideas? Anyone else in the same boat?
My car= 94 camaro 3.4L V6 Coupe w/82,000miles

You guys have winter too, correct? Everything vibrates more in the cold. Could be one explanation.

I wasnt referring to the idle, although you Idle higher in the winter at startup obviously since its colder... But as far as vibrations go, winter has a lot to do with it.

Cold weather makes everything shrink so the pistons are really tight in the winter. but after it warms up it should be ok

Yeah winter makes a few extra noises and whines.. I know starting it in the mornings when its been 5'f outside makes the alternator whine a bit.

Im just saying.. when I think of the word shrink, I think of getting smaller (ex. t-shirt in dryer), which is not the case here.
