Well i just got back from the last car show this year that i will be going to and i saw this......a 99' ss that had a roll cage and some nitrous and headers all that fun stuff 563 hp....but then i saw this thing infront of the car i was curious to what it was ...it was an electronic cut outs for the exhuast.....it welds in in front of the muffler for the v6's (you only need one ) he does sell a set of 2 for the v8's.....he started it up for me and im like that doesnt sound like anything then he opened the cutouts ......HOLY **** sounded like i was at a drag strip it sounded amazing and for the 200 $ i am geting one, he was the owner and lives 1o minutes from me, so im going up there to talk to him as soon as i can. i thought you guys might be interested to hear about it ,

I'm planning on buying a cutout to put in my Borla so I can change the exhaust at a flip of the switch instead of having to add or remove plates.

Just what I said, their motor's are known for burning out and people have sent them back to QTP and have to go through a big hassle because their customer service absolutly sucks.

IMHO most f bodies that still have the factory style single exhaust and a cut out before the muffler sound like $hit (with the cut out open).

Yeah, cut-outs make a car loud, it might sound decent at idle, but open exhaust after the headers on most typical cars sounds like crap IMO- just because its ridiculously loud doesn't mean it sounds good.
Also keep in mind that your V6 isnt' going to sound anything like that car...

Yeah I was just going to say, I wouldnt get them for your car. Its gonna sound like ****.
I was thinking about them once, but I changed my mind. I dont think having people stare at you like youre a ricer as you drive by is worth $200 to me.

well i knew it wasnt going to sound like it....mostly because he had 3 of them on...but i dont know i am going try and hear one first see what i think of it before i make a real decesion based on all the negative comments towards it

Trust me, it will sound like **** driving with it open. Unless you plan on using it at idle only... which to me seems like would be a waste of $200.
If you want to know what it sounds like. Listen to a ricers exhaust sometime.
