After being treating like by every rep I came into contact with (Except one - Steve - who was cool...), I thought a memoir of my journey would be appropriate...






I got to sit in Porsche's, Jaguar's, and all sorts of concept cars, not to mentioning engine bay shots and the like... and I don't even own any of their cars... but when it comes to my BOYS, the HOME CREW, who've I supported from the beginning... whadda I get? Snotty noised punks giving me lectures on why they can't pop the hood on a plain jane Vette.

After being treated like a child by 4-5 different reps I threw civility out the window... started snapping on them and , lost all patience...

GM gets a big YOU from a long time custy.

visitors to the autoshow EVER.

Ive never pointed and FLAT out LAUGHED at so many morons as i have at the autoshow.

Lemme give you an example..

At The Nissan Booth.

Nismo 350Z, taking to the rep.

Zlatko - "Hey, does this thing have the RB26?"
Rep - "Sorry what?"
Zlatko - "RB26"
Rep - "RB26? uh ya.."
Zlatko - "So this has the RB26DETT engine?"
Rep - "Yep"
*Walk over to sign, clearly read "3.5 Liter 24 Valve"*
Zlatko - "You said this has the RB, this say is has the VQ35"
Rep - "Oh ya, this one..uhh..ya.."

At The Subaru Section

Subaru STi, taking to the rep

Rep - "This could give a porsche a run for it's money"
Zlatko - "Which porsche?"
Rep - "911 Turbo"
Zlatko - "Uhh..what the are you smoking, the 911 would eat it alive"
Rep - "Ya,i guess youre right"
Zlatko - "Dont disrespect the 911 again like that"

I think the only intelligent person working there was this younger guy working at the Ford section, he was chilling around one of the Black Saleens that we took pics of, everyone other than him though, they couldnt tell their asses from the engines of those cars.

I was treated very well by Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche and BMW. The best was lexus, the pertty much held me hostage trying to get me to look at the new sc, since they heard me talking to my friend about my SC400, they were interested in hearing about what I thought on a comparison of the two, past and present. Oh well.
