worth more than a filter change or a catback (and costs a third of a good catback system)

I just had a VERY smart mechanic that is a friend of my step-dads tell me i should NOT get 3.73 rear end in my Camaro because it will through the computer off and the transmission will not know when to exactly shift with the new rear end and he also said that it would be better to get a chip. Does anyone have any good suggestions for the IROC 350 TPI Fuel Injected?

he's wrong I had 3.73 in my third gen,and had no trans troubles the trans is a very basic computer controlled basically only the converter lockup is computer controlled (that's why they are the choice of street rods) the computer may be off a little for about 10 miles but it will learn your best bet would be have a whole new pcm done (not that there are a ton of companies doing the obd I system)alot of mechanics do great with stock but add any mods and they are lost (that's why if I don't know what it is I look for teh guy who races and ask him)

Ok. Coming back to this topic. I need a CUSTOM burnt chip because of the Stealth Ram. I am just not getting enough A/F. I am running rich fuel and its trowing random trouble codes. Any suggestions?

because a carb can not be set to perform at every rpm, it can only be set at a certain level, it's a giant compromise (there is a reason new cars come with injection it's cleaner, and makes the power band wider)also keep in mind the fastest cars all use injection
