So you bought headers... Right?

I've heard that true duals are basically a waste. You would get better perfomance with a conventional 2 to 1 to 2 set up.

You either get a Y-pipe or true duals not both. I would just buy Pacesetters Y-pipe because you usually have less problems with fitment if you buy the same Y as the headers.

first off, which headers did you get? shorties, mids, or long tubes and are they coated or non coated?

ur best bet is to get the matching y-pipe for whichever headers you got. where did you get your headers? hit up shon at www.herronperformance.com, tell him I sent you and he'll hook you up.

what you should really do is return the non-coated headers you bought and get a coated set with an ORY from shon.

ceramic coated headers will resist rusting and heat sink better than non coated.

if you can cancel your order or return the non coated ones, shon can hook you up with a set of ceramic coated pacesetter long tubes with Off Road Y-pipe for roughly $500.00 as a set

if you cant cancel or return the ones youve ordered, then shon can still get you a deal on the ORY. then to help your pocket book a lil more, when you install the new exhaust, take your catylitic converter and sell it. theres a guy on LS1tech.com that pays about 75 bucks for them

his ORY is like 125 bucks

the whole package with coated headers is about $500.00 shipped

check out www.herronperformance.com and tell shon I sent ya and he'll hook you up.

another thing to keep in mind is you will need new oxygen sensors (o2's) and extensions for them as the stock ones wont reach the new holes on the the long tube headers. and a good set of gaskets as well. and if you really want to splurge, get the nascar style locking header bolts. for the bolts go on ebay and look up "nascar locking header bolts" and they should pop up. they are about 30 bucks a set, but it will save you the hassle of having to recheck the tightness of them every day, week and month after you put them on.

and a couple guides for the install of them...
