OMG!! HELP Please
i dont know where to start... tranny rebuild was less than 1000 miles ago and today when i started driving my car it seems like it has no power around 2000 rpms... the tranny is hitting all the gears but i have noticed a small oil leak. could this be caused by a leaky valve cover gasket or is that just a seperate problem ? ? when i start the car it doesnt do it but like as soon as it warms up it will start this. after spending $1315 on the tranny im broke.. if this cant be fixed cheap then the car is gonna be sold. oh and just to be clear the car is not the car in my pic.. this is on my 94 Z28

could be wires, a couple might be arcin at around 2 grand..but thats just a place to start. Obviously I can't say about the oil leak since I can't see it. Also, I don't think the oil leak shouldn't have anything to do with the power lose, buts its hard to diagnosis without seein it firsthand and how's its acting.

i explained it to my grandfather and he said it sounded like the throttle position sensor which ive already replaced twice so i went and exchanged mine once again but its too late to be messing with it right now, hopefully that will help my power loss but i know the oil leak is a seperate problem... im gonna take it to my mechanic and have him fix the leak, put in a new starter, and i got a couple lifters ticking which i need fixing.. ill let u know if it works tomorrow.

yep, could the throttle body itself have a hard time opening? thats if the power comes back... Id check the basics and as for lifters arch is right an injector or two or 3 could just be dirty remember the cars about 12ish years old... so if the stuff hasnt been cleaned...

the best way to do it is take to a shop and have them use a cleaner. They disconnect the fuel system, hook up a machine to the fuel rail and run teh car off the cleaner.Sea foam is great stuff, but nothing aded to teh tank will do a good job cleaning injectors, and adding to teh vaccuum line cleans the engine.

ok i was told that it could possibly be the cat. the car does seem the same at idle but i noticed the other day it didnt seem as loud while moving. and if air was being pushed back through the exhaust that would cause a wistling noise? because its making one. im bout to go play around with this cat and if i cant find another solution im gonna break out the cutting wheel.
