New big brake setup (Front & Rear) Pic
Some of you were asking for some more pics of the WS6 from my " 1st post " thread, so I thought this would be an appropriate 2nd pic thread. Well, finally got the front Six piston Wilwoods on the car and I have to say that these are some very nice brakes. I will be working on the rears this week and other stuff.
If anyone has questions on the setup just let me know. I would be more than glad to point out any insight I have from doing this install. The front setup is somewhat unique because I used the LS1 Wilwood 6 piston kit up front so I did not have to cut the ears on the stock LT1 spindle. Basically, I took a LS1 spindle from a 98 thru 2002 car and had it silver/chrome powdercoated. By doing this the LS1 Wilwood kit is a direct bolt-on and a much easier install. There are a couple of other little tricks to doing the LS1 setup so just ask if you have any questions.

That must all be brand new. Too clean to be a car that you drive. I would love the steps you did in order to have that system. It's beautiful. What is the spindle you had powder coated? It's just not ringing a bell right now....still tired.

Klique, the install amazingly is pretty straight-forward. Much easier than you would think. The setup is new, but as far as keeping it clean won't be a problem with this car it sets on a rack most of it's life I clean the under-carriage on this thing quite regularly. The bottom is cleaner than the top of most F-body's

I would be lucky if I said this car had 200 miles put on it in the last two years.

I hear ya, on the not driving it thing. It makes me uncomfortable sometimes to not drive the car conisidering how much effort has been put into this vehicle. I made myself a promise this summer that the car would at least see 300 to 500 miles over the summer . Hopefully that makes you guys feel betta
Thanks for the compliments on the brake package.....more stuff soon
