Need your opinions Arch...
My dads friend is looking at a 71 z-28. its got a 396 big block, its a roller motor, and the cam is supposedly a 554 lift or something huge. 2 inch headers, 2 1/2 all the way out with flowmasters. the motor seemed pretty built up but still streetable.it has a mallory ignition system, turbo 400 with a 3500 stall and manual valve body, B&M quickstick shifter, 8.5 inch 10 bolt with 4.56 gears. this car seems pretty built up and its got some nice paint. We're not sure if the car is supposed to have the split bumper and no round turn signals with just the "banana" lights or not. The car has a big tach and 2 other gauges, i think oil pressure and temp. none of the factory gauges work, and the wipers are kinda messed up with no motor and what not. so the electrical system along with the ignition system, we are a little iffy about. it has traction bars and subframe connectors also. the seats i dont think are original because the are kinda low back seats with small headrests and i didnt think those came in there. the trunk is a little bit patched up with some sheetmetal and it seems as if they sheet metaled the quarter panels on the underside or something. not too sure. and the trunk is missing the panels that go between the trunk floor and the inside of the quarter panels so its like you could almost stick your hand up there from outside. again not too sure. it was kinda messed up on the back end cause like i said that stuff and also the leaf spring shackles seemed a little off and really close to the rear lower valance, but my dad looked at it and thought it was fine. anyways, the car looks really nice and it sounded great and overall it is a pretty nice car, but like i said some of the stuff was a little messed up and we are unsure of it. the guy was offered 14,000 and he refused it and he's asking 16. if you could clear up some of the front bumper issues im still kidna confused on that. just wanted to know what you thought about it and if it is worth it. if theres something you dont understand what i said then ask me but like i said some of it was confusing.lol. thanks. heres some pictures.

also get me a pic of the gas pedal, if it's not floor mounted it's not a z (even though the engine is not a z engine) if it was an ss and that was the original engine (yes the bbc was available from the factory) it would be worth a little more

well the car has a nice running big blokc, 396 i think. its an original 350 4 barrel it says on the radiator support area. and the firewall tag actually says it was a z-28. so that means its prolly originally a z-28 350, that had the front bumper changed. correct. also it was originally a four speed but the guy put the turbo 400 and all that stuff in there, it still has the manual swing pedals. do you think its worth 15 grand for a z-28 that had a big block dropped in?
