My little 3.4L soon to be an LT1. Read this i have a question.

Hey all. So I've had my 3.4L for 3 years, this was my 1st car, and I've done everything to it myself. I tore the motor down and rebuilt it 2 years ago. Each year putting on more additions. I Love my little 3.4L But i feel its time to move onto the bigger motor. I got a great deal on an LT1 and Harness. I'm 95% sure i can do this swap, and if i needed any help I have at least 3 people who are willing to stop by and help me. This is what i am getting and I just want to make sure my F body can make the change from a V6 to a V8.

1 Lt1 Motor
1 ECU
1 Wire Harness
1 A One Peice Drive shaft
1 Intake w/ MAF
1 Z28 rear end ( Posi rear )
1 150mph Speedo

I already have the Chasis, 4L60e Trans, with a transgo shift kit installed, but It feels like I am missing something. I will buy an aftermarket exhaust from the block back. Anyone know of something else I may need to complete this project?

I thought the LS1 was different then an LT1. I didn't know about the suspension change. That list also does not include my one wheel wonder, i def. need a posi rear end. I did forget to add the motor mounts to my list, i know those have to change too.

I don't know if it is a 4 bolt or 2 bolt main, I suppose it is a 2 bolt main becasue its not out of a corvette. I was almost sure an LT1 is diffrent from the LS1

Im running a 1995 chasis and a 1994 lt1

98 the LS1's started.

Is there a diffrence?

LT1 and LS1 are same in only that they have 8 cyc going up and down, other than that there is nothing similar.

Its all the little stuff that you are going to come across along the way that is going to nickel and dime you. Make sure your bank account can afford this before you jump headfirst into, esp. if its your DD.
