most aftermarket brands will be fine, look at eagle, and lunati for rods (and crank) trw makes very good pistons, if spraying they need to be forged, and don't expect 100,000 miles out of it the next time

most aftermarket stroker kits are good. ive got 120k on mine and i plan on LE1 cam/head swap with a 100 shot on stock bottom end. shoudl be around 500 horse with the nitrous. LT1s are pretty good with nitrous and there are a lot of people running some crazy stuff on stock bottom ends with 150k OE motors. for a LOT more info and any very serious questions sign up for www.camaroz28.com if you arent already, and post any very technical questions there. there are a lot of people that know their stuff there and you can get a lot of help.

are they doing a ton of spray for 100,000 miles or after it hits 100,000 there is a huge difference?

when do they start using nitrous when new, and going 100,000 miles (hard to believe) or after the car turns 100,000 miles

they start over 100,000 and now they have 150k lol. who cares when they start using it. they are using 150 shot on a stock bottom end with 150k miles. and they didnt just put it on one time and use it and say yea i have 150 shot on my stock bottom end. they continually use it.

Eagle and Scat H beams are nice products, using Scat H beams myself right now, might as well get 6" rods (i think LTx still use the standard 5.7" but i could be mistaken) and when you get ur pistons make sure theyre for a 6" rod. Thing is with a completely forged bottom end (like myself) things get expensive quick. You dont necessarily need to get the H beams you could get I beams (but H beams have great stroker clearance, got a 3.8" stroke and they barely didnt clear my standard base circle cam (but its a big cam with lots of duration) and i think if i went with a 3.75" stroke it woulda cleared no problem. If your keeping the 3.48" stroke then you could use I beams and clear no problemo and itll be cheaper than H beams. So if moneys an issue you can get some little cheaper rods but id cash out on Pistons (no i dont mean you have to buy 800 dollar ones either) but be prepared to spend high 400 low 500 bux for forged pistons.

IMO run a custom grind cam if your going with nitrous.

Yep I figured it out one day for a good forged bottom end stroker your looking around 1500 for decent rods, pistons, and cranks. Stuff adds up quick.

If you went with something like a LE package then it would be ok since the cam is matched to the heads already. For nitrous use what would the specs be on acustom cam? I know the exhaust duration would have to larger but other then that is their any difference?
