I need advice on an 89 Z28, PLEASE HELP ME!
I Hope that I posted this in the right forum!
Hello all,
Im new to the forum and I dont have a clue as to what ALL I need to do what im looking to do...
Lets start at the beginning...
I have a 1989 Z28 That Ive had since high school (years now).
Anyhow, The motor just went, completely locked, and I cant see just getting a new car, I love the one that I have!! Its an automatic, I am currently debating the idea of buying an LT1 Motor, and a T56 6 speed tranny. I dont have any parts to make it happen, so if you can, would you please tell me ALL the parts that I would need to get an Lt1 and a 6 speed in my 89 T/A and make it work perfectly. PLEASE HELP!! I would like to make this my winter
project, as I have a few months off from work (Drive truck) and I havent a clue as to all the parts I need to make it happen!!

i havent seen kits for LT1 motors yet but idk what you would really need to change for sure. heres another LS1 conversion kit site

Do you have a Z28 or a T/A?

You will have to swap out the ecms and wiring harness. If it is a 700R4 you will have to get the pedals and cylinder and console. The engine will bolt right in fine. You would probably be better of building your 350. For the same aamount you put into buying a LT1 and a T56 you could do a better L98. With or with out TPI.
