Question I have some leaks I need to fix.

I'm noticing some damp spots on my under carriage, I'm guessing a combo of intake and timing chain cover leak. How hard are these to replace?

neither is that hard just take the part off clean it (getting to them is the hard part) apply a bead of silicone and the correct gasket (leaving the rubber end pieces off as in the gm tsb)

The intake is pretty easy, don't stress all the wiring, its just wires.

The timing chain cover is a little harder..just more stuff to take off-

I was told to change the timing chain gasket I need to remove the water pump. Is this true? If so I might just replace my mechanical water pump with an electrical water pump.

yeah you gotta remove the crank pulley and balancer, then the water pump. but the leak might be the front and rear seals on the intake. most of the time its only silicone so it could be bad.
