Heat Damaging Spark Plug Boots?

Hey, I ordered some MSD heat tape to wrap around some spark plug boots that sit against the header manifold railing. I was worried they may get too hot from the headers after a while and burn through my MSD 8.5MM spark plug wire boots. Should I be worried? I ordered them nearly a month ago and am still waiting on them.

I don't care what you wrap them in, do not let the wires lay on the headers or you can kiss your wires good bye.

No, I know that, wires are fine, I'm worried about the boots. I'll get a pic of what I mean tomorrow if I'm not making sense.
