well i did this a while back, but i couldnt get it to work. i bought a straight pipe and used that in place of the cat, however the outlet of the cat is flanged and i didnt have a flange, so it leaked. but if you can get a pipe with a 2 bolt flanged outlet then thats the best way to do it. also when you need to pass smog, like me, i can just put the cat back in.

Also is there any sensors on there that would set off any false readings and make it run shity or make the check engine light come on

i would think there would be since the cat is gone for emission purposes and stuff. but you can bypass it if there is a sensor. i haven't removed the cat so not for sure on that.

well on the 3.4 i know there is nothing that connects to the cat, and i'm 99.9% sure there is nothing as well. you should be fine.

allright sounds good, ill just take it off and run a straight pipe, its no biggie if i have to throw the cat back on once a year for inspection, the last 2 times i went they didnt even look they just felt the rotors and slaped a sticker on there, so for all i know i can be driving a death trap lol

personally, I don't feel the gutted cat thing is worth all the trouble. But to each their own!
